The ability to effectively complete research is a extremely useful skill when applying yourself to a future career in medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine.
At university, you will be expected to complete a lot of self driven learning where you need to demonstrate extensive research and learn aspects of your course through self reading to widen your course knowledge.
But where to start?
Beth Wilkinson, our Research Officer in the Virtual Medical Society has put together some resource videos to give you some insight on how to go about taking on your own research and resources you can use as well as how to critically appraise your own work.
The VMS Committee will also be putting together research tasks you can take part in to sharpen your skills.
