Hi everyone, it’s your fundraising officers Yosha and Lynette here.
As the Covid-19 mission campaign has come to an end and been hugely successful, we have seen an amazing community of like-minded people coming together to support and raise awareness for a worthy cause.
Despite the unprecedented circumstances we are in, the teamwork and general support of one another that has been evident throughout the campaign has been absolutely amazing.
We would love to take our next steps towards a new campaigning initiative with input from all of you.
That is why we have created a competition that is open to everyone to participate in.
Youwill be able to promote a charity that you are passionate about and that you would like us to fundraise for in the next campaign!
We would like you to advocate the charity you want all of our campaign volunteers to fundraise for in a short minute long video.
This is the perfect opportunity to speak out for a charity you strongly support so please do get involved with this!
In this short video, some suggested points would be:
● What is your chosen charity?
● What cause do they support?
● Why have you chosen this charity and why is it important to you?
● Why should Medic Mentor help raise funds for this charity?
We have also created a set of terms for the charity you choose in order for it to be eligible for this competition:
● The charity must be registered
● The charity must be UK based
● The charity must be related to either medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine.
The deadline for entries to be submitted is Monday, June 15th.
We won’t be looking at any entries submitted after the deadline so make sure you get yours in before then!
Yosha and I (Lynette) will narrow down the choices to five stand out videos, then they will be voted for by the VMS members and we will announce the winning charity by the end of the month on this blog and in a VMS meeting.
The winning video will also be featured on our fundraising blog!
Although it is a competition we want you to enjoy the entire process and have fun with it.
We also want you to keep in mind that no matter what charity is ultimately chosen, we welcome and encourage you all to take part in the next campaign in any way you can.
Hopefully, we will all be able to reflect on and learn from any strengths and weaknesses regarding our past campaigning efforts, so we can make our next one even more successful than the last!
If you have any questions, be sure to post a comment below and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
